Nuisance bears.

Hey all. Just wondering if anyone has heard where the PGC have been taking the trapped out nuisance bears. I have a friend in kelletsville who had three bears trapped out of the farm where we hunt. I was just wondering if anybody knew where they were taking them. Just curious. Might make for a good place to hunt bear. Any input is welcomed. Thanks.

Re: Nuisance bears.

All nuisance bears in Warren County are move to Gameland 086 according to WCO. I seen bears that have one tag on a ear, some with a tag on each ear. After that if the bear is still a nuisance,They put the bear down. True or not? That's what the WCO told me. He said not that many bears being tag or destroyed. Which is good!

In a couple weeks you can let some of that "nuisance" out of them!

Re: Nuisance bears.

I walked up on one at 0400, he was standing on its hind legs looking at me with glowing eyes. I bet he never seen a human with eyes as big as mine!

I've seen a bear with two tags in its ear down by salmon creek a few years ago.

Re: Nuisance bears.

He probaly got relocated up to FR 212 and they probaly took him the whole way back to Stoney Point. You probaly saw him down there because he worked his way off the mountain because he smelled campers cooking food along the creek. More than likely he was hanging out in that laurel on that hillside heading up to Stoney Point and then going to head back on top in the laurel.
