Im in zone 9...there are alot more eld than years ago and seem to be increasing pretty good. I dont put in for the draw. I see them all the time so i dont hunt them. I just saw 5 bulls together. 1 is absolutely huge. Ive seen 7 different bulls this week. 1 jumped off a bypass so hes dead now. Did you get drawn?

Not me personally. A friend and co-worker that I've known for 26 years is planning on tagging along with a friend of his that got pulled for a Cow Tag in Z-9.

He's not looking for anyone's hunting spot, just more like looking for places to stay out that way, is it best to hire a guide or free lance hunt. Pretty much searching for anwswer that you don't know because neither of them has ever gotten drawn before.

Ive actually seen way more bulls this year than cows. Usually its pretty even in sightings. How much time does he have to dedicate to hunting them?

Pretty much the entire time the tag allows, minus 1-2 days.

Re: PA Elk Draw - Zone 9

Hey Guys... New to the site. I too drew a cow tag for Zone 9 for this season.
What are the chances of a DIY hunt for a cow?
I don't know the area well.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Any info would be appreciated.

Re: PA Elk Draw - Zone 9

I believe the biggest issue on a DIY its getting the elk out. Any recommendations on that?
