One That Won't Be Around For The Hunt

Did anyone else see the Elk in Clearfield that apparrently jumped off the 879 bypass bridge and died in the river? It looked to be an 8x7.

I think I'm an alright guy, I think I'm alright

Re: One That Won't Be Around For The Hunt

He was a pretty friendly bull. People would stop to look as he grazed and he didnt seem to mind all the attention he drew. Its a shame he died this way. We saw him numerous times throughout the summer. I have some pix of him when he was in a field off 879. He was hanging with another young bull.

I know of another spot not to far from there where 5 bulls are coming out every evening. 1 of them is an absolute monster although to me they all seem big. Ive seen alot of elk around my camp over the years but never anything as big as the 1 im seeing this year. Hes pretty friendly to, just hope he doesnt go jumping off any bridges.

They're getting to be somewhat common around the clearfield area. It's kind of nice to have them around. Then again, I'm not a farmer!

Such a shame! Trying to recall where 879 crosses the river?

Help me out.

If you continue to do what you're doing, you'll only get what you have gotten.

879 crosses the river on the east end of town. 322 goes underneath 879 right near Dennys Beer Barrel near the river. Sproul
