Just wondering if bear are breeding or if it is just the eat all you can before winter that has them out. A buddy at work saw two nice bear this week and I just saw a nice one on my way home from work. Sure seems like they are on the move.
You canít get them if you ainít in the woods!!

Re: Are bear breeding? They sure are on the move now.
Breeding season is pretty well coming to an end though there might be a few more that get bred this late. June, July and August are the breeding season for bears. Even though they breed over several months they have a delayed implantation of the egg so all eggs will attach to the uterus wall at about the same time in November and all of the cubs will be born within about the same week or two in January.
Bears are on the move right now transitioning to different food supplies. In this area it seems they are just moving into the cornfields but I suspect within the next few weeks they should be moving into the acorns.
