I had two at the house yeaterday at lunch and think the bigger one was back around 9PM last night. Saw them both on the video camera and chased them off with the 12 Ga "Bang-pops"

Seen one at the Clearview Mall in Butler last week at noon. We get lots of visiting bears at camp (Potter Co.)at night I think they roam around whenever they want to.

Re: bears at night

Bear are primarily nocturnal and most of the time will simply spend their days lying in a patch of thick cover where they will allow a person to walk past without even knowing they are there.

Right now bears are in the middle of the breeding season so there will be a lot more daytime activity than normal.

Re: bears at night

I have seen the majority of my bears in the late morning to late afternoon time frame.I think they move at night then bed down in the morning hours then feed in the early afternoon hours..The largest boars will travel in daytime.Whenever they are hungry they will go to nearby food supplys.
