Bear cub on the NE Ext...?

Heading to work this morning southbound on the turnpike and i saw what appeared to be a decent sized bear cub dead about midway between the quakertown and lansdale exits. Anyone else see it?

No, but almost ran one over at the 90 mile marker yesterday.

Poconos, it came out of Penn forest streams development. I rarely see any bears, saw 3 this past week.

Lotta bear movement right now, cubs getting pushed away, boars and sows getting frisky....love is in the air!

Re: Bear cub on the NE Ext...?

I almost kissed one on the bumper this morn headed to work. Had to hit the brakes pretty hard, but she managed to keep moving pretty quick. Once she got to the other side of 115, she actually stood up and looked at me as if it was my fault!

I would say about 200-250 lb range. Real pretty coat.

Obviously it was your fault because she was walking there first.

The problem is that I don't know what I don't know.

Re: Bear cub on the NE Ext...?

Maybe they should move the Bear crossing sign.....there is way to much traffic this week on 115 to have the bears crossing there!

Re: Bear cub on the NE Ext...?

I almost got a biggin on 115 the other night about 1000 feet N of 903

My ability to remember lyrics from songs of the 60's far exceed my ability to remember why I walked into the kitchen

Re: Bear cub on the NE Ext...?

I know exactly where you are refering to....probably coming of of the preserve property. I have seen more bears this year than ever before...not sure if it was the weather or the bumper crop of early eats! I got blueberries and blackberries on the bushes already!
