3rd year in a row!

this was the third year in a row for my group with a successfull elk shed hunt wknd! we had 10 guys in camp and had a blast despite a rouge 4-8hr virus that ravaged everyone of us by weekends end! its quite a site seeing 4 guys at a time diving outta thier bunks scrambling for the camper door to try to make it outside! we all laughed at them and then by the next day it was our turn...really never saw anything like that before and dont care to ever again!

the horns we found were actually a match set 4x5...i picked up the 5 pt side and another buddy got the 4 pt side. i was fortunate enough to actually watch the bull shed the horn i have! pretty neat stuff and glad i decided to get up early that morn despite the hangover and checkout a cpl plots!

we also found an old elk skeleton but it had been there for quite awhile i would guess as the hide was gone and the bones were scattered, bleached and pretty "powdery". we also found the usual amount of dead heads but nothing of any size.

my buddy with the 4 pt side also found a deer spike shed...unbeleivable find at about 3" long! that was right at camp under the thick grass thatch that he just happened to see!

i went through some pics from back n march and found the bull that we had got the horns from...hes the far right bull...a lill bit of zoom and im positive...this pic was about half mi from where the horns were
