2011 vermont moose..now with pics

My buddy drew a moose tag for north central vermont, five of us went DIY, The locals up there are outstanding and very helpfull but our zone wasnt holding alot of moose he shot the moose at 530 on the fourth day after many miles a day in dirty swamp..then we had to fight the coyotes for the moose...

Re: 2011 vermont moose

thanks my dad got the coyote still hunting, was a 45# female, 8 or 10 came into the moose while two of us waited for help to get it out of the swamp....they didnt have much fear of humans at all, we didnt haveproper lights to shoot them but shot at them to keep them at bay...makes for a good story now but was very exciting at the time...

Re: 2011 vermont moose

That's crazy. I hunt in Vermont too and have noticed the coyotes up there can be bold. I had a group of them behind my cabin one night start howling from about 1/4 mile away. When my dog heard them he started barking. They heard him barking and came right toward the cabin. They got within 15 feet of my cabin looking for the dog.
