Diamox - altitude sickness

Has anyone ever taken Diamox to alleviate symptoms of altitude sickness. I have a hunt planned for next year and read about it but I don't know anyone who's tried taking it.

There are creatures here that cannot even be found in books. And I have killed them all.

Re: Diamox - altitude sickness

I have been using it for 3 years now. I take it for three days prior to going into the high country, and the first day at altitude.
The only problem I had prior to using diamox was waking in the middle of the night with slight shortness of breath.
It has eliminated this completely.
Most people I know have no problems with altitude.
