Driver/setter %

What is everyone else's percentage between the setter's and the driver's shooting the bear, so far our setter's got the bear but our drivers have gotten shots off.. just curious.

I would say 75/25 favoring stander unless silent drive then somewhat less. Terrain type is also a factor.

Over 25 years we've taken close to 35 Bears....

Standers about 60%, drivers about 40% drivers have had more shots than standers.
Attribute that to the thickness of the brush the drivers walk (Laurels, Swamps, Scrub Oak) and being surprised by a bear jumping up and being gone with snap shots. Standers are generally alerted a bear is coming from shots fired and as the drivers close the gap everyone becomes more diligent and ready.

When we hunt open woods the drivers generally shot more often with more kills.
