1062 pounder!!!!

Just saw on the bear page that a 1,062 pound bear was shot. I’m sure it’s a typo. But while on the subject do you think there is a black bear out there that would crack the 1000lb mark?

A 1000 pound black bear is hard to believe. I certainly have my doubts about it. But, if such a black bear does live, it is likely to be in Pa. We grow some big black bears here.

Not surprised it came from Centre county. I also wouldn't be surprised to see once come from Luzerne county either.

I have a picture of an 800+ lb bear that was taken, oh 20 years ago up by the FE Walter Dam in Carbon County. Wasn't a 900+ bear taken in the Poconos a few years ago???
