Delaware Water Gap

Hey all,

I am going on vacation this week up at Delaware Water Gap. I'm taking the muzzleloader with. My question is whether or not it's worth my time to do some still hunting in the National Park Property? I have never been there before so I'm going in blind. But if I'm on vacation I'm going to make the best of it.

Good luck lots of people walking around there this time of year looking at leafs and hiking i live 10 miles from there lots of foot traffic and have never seen any deer so it is pretty much a roll of the dice. enjoy your vacation and good luck if you decide to take the front stuffer.

You're going at the right time. Rifle season is a crapshoot since a lot of game will take shelter in the gated communities. Don't go in those woods without a bear tag! Some true giants call the area along the Delaware River their home!

Bigfoot saw me but nobody believes him!

I got to do some scouting around today. Found some corn fields with a lot of bear damage and sign. I think Wednesday and Thursday I"m going to spend some time I that particular area. Also found a second area I want to check out. Its a shame I only have a week and it's family vacation. A lot of great ground to explore up here.

Saw a bunch of pheasant tonight. Saw 5 deer and two bear! Unfortunately the two bear were 50 yards from the front door of my vacation rental!
