Are tags over the counter or is it a draw? Can you bait in NJ? Can you hound hunt there?

OTC tags, baiting allowed on private land, county or township owned lands....NO BAITING ALLOWED on state owned lands as well as federal lands, from a treestand or any man made ground blind you can't hunt over bait....no dogs

Nice bears BHC. Good luck.

All state land is closed to bear hunting, due to an executive order by the Governor. Federal, (Del Water Gap Recreation Area) is open, as well as, private lands. Here is some more info. https://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/...ighnt50-69.pdf

Draw, but many left over and they are now over the counter. Yes, you can bait, but you can't be within 300 feet of the bait in a ground blind or tree stand. You can hunt over the bait, (as close as you want), if you are not in a tree stand or ground blind though. Example would be a blow down or behind a big rock, as long as you don't add anything to the blow down or rock. (Yes, crazy). No hounds.
