Lots of bears!

I don't hunt them, just don't. I have seen lots of signs, scat and trees marked. Also enough bears that my morning scouting/hunting trips for coyotes most always end with a bear sighted or fresh tracks. Folks I meet in the areas I hunt also are telling me about their bear sightings. A couple of these old boys are on the chubby side. Good luck to all you bear hunters, thin them down a little, they are starting to make me jumpy.

Re: Lots of bears!

I do hunt them now that it is a Saturday opener and I have to agree from my wonderings, if we do not have a record year in 2011 we never will.

Re: Lots of bears!

The weather could have something to say about that. Hopefully not though.

Re: Lots of bears!

Food is going to play a factor. Not many nuts to hold them in some of the areas. I hope we have snow about 6 inches worth, lol!

Re: Lots of bears!

Here we are talking about lots of bears. My son was headed for our home and had to stop for a bear crossing the road! This was his first sighting. On Sterret's Gap.
