Mon. Nov 19th

Miserable day but paid off.
We drove from daylight to dark in rain.
Wifes fitness tracker said 15 miles walked.
We killed one sow and another was missed.
At least rewarded for our efforts and a 1st bear for one of our hunters.

Hunted half a day in 3D. Only a couple vehicles here and there. PGC starting to clear a couple more parking lots along Suscon Rd.

Did not see anything. Mix of old and fresh deer tracks. Walking was very quiet, due to soft snow, but still hard due to depth.

Going to be joining up with some buddies on Wednesday for some drives.

We hunted all day, cut 6 different tracks that weren't there Saturday. We just didn't have enough people to do much with them.

Fresh tracks on 4 bear, but couldn't get any of them to go our way today. We shall try again tomorrow in the same area.

Our group hunted hard today. Only took a quick break at Sheets for lunch before heading to another area. Bear sign like you wouldn’t believe but it was a huge area which made it pretty challenging for 12 guys. I think if we were closer to 20 we may of got another one.
Still had a blast . There is just something I really enjoy about pushing myself physically and watching the rest of the guys do the same. The camaraderie and planning involved. The laughs and the stories. I also identify with guys who are hardcore so to speak. Guys that are willing to crawl 500 yards on their hands and knees near the end of the day trying to push a bear out to the posters. It’s just downright hardcore hunting.
I am out for the year due to work but the group I was in are still going to be at it.
Good luck to everyone who still plans on being out there in the coming days.

Hunted Sat & Mon and heard very little shooting. Cut several tacks plus the deer were moving. Most bear camps that normally are full were either empty or had about half the hunters. About a foot(plus or minus) of snow in Sullivan County higher elevations. Saturday ended up needing a local logger friend pull me out. Got into some places ive should of known better to avoid!! lol

I ran out after work yesterday. Saw a few deer out feeding but didn't find any bear tracks. I'll be out all day Wednesday.
