What year was it?

Years ago you could hunt bear with your general backtag. Then the bear license was sold separately. Does anyone know the first year when you had to purchase the bear license separately?

Don't know, but I do remember they closed the season for bear for several years (maybe 3?) at one time. I wonder if the bear license came in when the season resumed after that?

Hop, I assure you the population doesn't need protection. BTW, season length is form of limitation also...right???

Here is another. Does anyone remember when the bear season started after the deer season? 1979 I think.

This is who we are. This is what we do.
