Anyone got advice for hunting bear alone? One hunter told me about a walking refridgerator on the mountain behind my house. I WANT TO GET HIM!!!

Re: Bear hunting

Look for Sign (scat & Clawings , etc) and then locate a Seasonal feeding source like a good stand of oaks with plenty of acorns in the thickest area , set up there , good luck

Kurt, I have been reading all your posts...does that 14 mean your 14 years of Age? If so, you can not go alone!

Also from reading your posts, you are postng WAY to much information...you posted your Address in 1 of your posts, You should go back and Edit it and take your Address out and post "Linglestown Area"...WATCH What you post! There are "Armchair" Scouters on this and other sites that use the information you post to go and hunt the areas and do not care about having permission to hunt private properties and do not care if they mess up others hunts!

Your opening yourself up for alot of Headaches from what you been posting...Watch what you post!!

Re: Bear hunting

Thanks for the message.I'm pretty new and a a little stupid at times.I am going to be 15 in Oct and I will be hunting with my dad.Generally we go about 100-200yard apart and sit.By the way,you mention scouters.Last year a guy came on without permission.I like to compare the atomic bomb droppings to my dad when the guy claimed permission and yelled at my brother for walking by his stand.
