Fruit cocktail tree

A friend of mine is buying one of those fruit cocktail trees, the ones with plums, nectarines, peaches, and apricots all grafted onto the same tree. Anybody have one of these and know any tricks to keeping it alive?

Re: Fruit cocktail tree

Pray, that may work. That is a whole lot of grafting.

Re: Fruit cocktail tree

I've seen these and they are actually pretty hardy. It is alot of grafting - but they are neat. very little output, compared to a standard tree, but they are more a novelty than anything anyway.

Re: Fruit cocktail tree

THE ONLY ONE I EVER SAW WAS REAL NICE,NEVER SAW ANY FRUIT BUT WAS TOLD TO PUT FERTILIZER STAKES AROUND IT FOR THE FIRST 2 YEARS. IT WAS ABOUT 4 TO 5 FOOT TALL THEN.

IF IT'S DEAD I'LL EAT IT....IF IT AIN'T I'LL TRY ANYWAY,,,,,,
