Re: Wine Recipe

Hello,
I make batch of grape wine (about 35 gal) each year but it is a little more involved than grapes and a gallon jug.
The link below may help get you get started in the right direction.

Re: Wine Recipe

If you want something easy, make some apfelwein (apple wine). This is just pure apple juice, wine yeast, and some corn suger if you really want to make it deadly.

Plus, much of the equipment used to make wine can be used to make beer if 1 chooses to start brewing homemade beer...

You then do not have to go out and buy all the equipment, just a few added items...

Might as well buy what is needed to get started on the right foot!

Here is a shop in Lemoyne that sells all the equiment needed...

there are many around the state!

Re: Wine Recipe

then there's always Welch's wine... 2 cans of welchs grape juice, some sugar, enough water to fill the gallon wine bottle to the right level...mix to incorporate it all, then put a balloon on the mouth to wait for the yeast to bloom. when the balloon starts to deflate in a week or so, it's ready to rock your world.

I KNOW i oversimplified this...please google the recipe (i'm too darn lazy to do it right now) and double check me. I know it tastes like a cheap Italian Red - great for cooking beef and venison with!
