Sulfur/Morrel Mushrooms

I live in PA and I'm wondering when I can start watching for them while I'm on my hikes in the woods.

Re: Sulfur/Morrel Mushrooms

Black morels will probably start about mid April. The yellows will be a couple weeks later. Good luck hunting.

Re: Sulfur/Morrel Mushrooms

The sulfer shelfs are more of a late summer mushroom. They're not too bad,and much more abundant, but don't come close to the morrel in taste.
