Title says it all. I can identify a moral, sheepshead, hen of the woods, maybe even a chicken of the woods. I see so many other mushrooms than I can identify in the woods. Whats a good book to pack along hunting that I can positivaly identify edible mushrooms.
Re: Recommend me a field manual for edible mushrooms.
Positively identify is really tough from a book. You will always have doubt in your mind. The best book I have found is The Audubon Society Field Guide to North American Mushrooms. Has actual color photos to help identify. But I believe the best "book" is going with someone who knows what they're picking.
