Snow peas

When do you fellows plant them. This year im planting mine on St. Patrick day, a farmer in my area plants them that ime of year and does yeal well. I think i get mine in to late and they struggle a little. I'm gunna plant some and see what happens.

You can plant them as soon as the soil can be worked, however an early planting will not necessarily germinate any earlier than if you wait for the ground to warm. Peas are a cool weather crop, but they donít like soil that is cold or wet. The seeds can survive a frost, but not the plants. And we sometimes will see frost in late April- early May. I usually wait until about April 15th.
