Mushroom I.D. help...

What mushroom is growing on our property this time of year? Been a week or so...

Are these coming up out of tree roots? They look somewhat like oysters, and i have seen oyters grow up from roots before, If you could pick the mushroom, flip it over and take some pics It would be easier to id.

hern, Screw the Room - you got some green stuff growing that I may be interested in ID'ing for ya - LOL - actually I love these posts Id'ing Mushrooms - I have learned a lot.

Last pic looks like a sheepshead to me, but I can't imagine one growing this time of year anywhere in PA in the cold. Usually a fall shroom round my parts.

Hh, in this location, there was a stump that I used a stump grinder to remove below ground level. So, yes, there is a stump, but under ground.
It was white in color for first several days/week.
I posted same pics on another site and posters feel it is an oyster.

i'd say oyster too but when it doubt, leave it alone.

Oysters can grow in PA year round. I saw more than a few this winter.

Definitely not a Sheephead, as Sheephead are a polypore.

ya i've picked oysters in deer season. i only pick them if they are growing on trees though
