Saw farmers were plowing it the area last week and thought I'd try on wed. last week.Tilled on wed.,fri.,and again today and planted sugar peas and some lettuce.More lettuce going in on mon.
Not much different than the ones that keep last years seeds in the freezer.Remember years past planting beginning of March.More lettuce going in monday.
I have the gardens cleaned up and spaded but I cant plant here till late May at the earliest. Even if its mile the soils to cold to get things going well. I've had frost here many times in late May.
Onions and cabbage planted. Lettuce is getting started tonight. My daughter was a big helper. She wanted to plant her own garden so... in went a small row of snow peas in a whiskey barrel. I'm gonna start tomatoe seeds this weekend
