What type of mushroom is this.

Found this while out hunting morels. Was growing on a dead tree. Not planning on eating it, just curious of the type. Was looking online but didn't find it.

While trout fishing with a neighbor of mine a couple of weeks ago he knocked off something that looked like what have. He told me it was a mushroom and that he scraped off a piece to make tea out of it.

I dehydrate it and grind it into a powder to add to soups stock or gravy.

I don't have ducks. I don't have rows. I have squirrels. And they're drunk.
