Tree/Nut ID?.......

My aunt sent me this picture of a tree near her house and asked what kind of nut I thought it was, looks like a Black Walnut to me. Other ideas of what it could be?.......

Black walnut. The only other thing it could be is a white walnut. Their nuts are more oblong shaped though.

The leaves make me think Black Walnut.

Could be a Butternut, can you get a pic of the tree bark and another pic or two of the whole tree, best would be of one of the leaves. Not one leaflet but the whole compound leaf.

Butternuts are more elongated than walnuts hard to tell in that photo, if you find out please post results

Butternut is the same as white walnut, which I mentioned in my previous post. As we both said, they have more elongated nuts. It's hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like a black walnut to me.

Butternuts are more shaped like miniature zeppelins. The husk in the pic looks round.
