dandelion jam?

I had some of this at a farm show and it was great. I am trying to make some as I am typing this. Does anyone have a good recipe?

Re: dandelion jam?

My dad used to make dandeloin wine. If the jam has half the hammer that the ol'man's wine did, I'd love to try some.

Re: dandelion jam?

The jam does taste like the kind that I had at the farm show. Next up is dandelion wine..Are there any secret recipes for that.

Below is one of the threads from last year. There were a couple others if I remember correctly.

Re: dandelion jam?

My dad made it every year and it was always a hit or miss affair. I don't have a recipe but I recalll that he put in oranges, and grapefruit and all manner of citric stuff along with the dandelions blossoms. We would go to Grand View Cemetary outside of Pitcarin and Edgewood Cemetary and pick thousands of dandelions. I think he had as many successes as failures. Apparently if one piece of fruit was bad it ruined the whole batch. One year it was so strong my Uncle Ray wouldnot even drink it. Other times, it was pretty good.

Good night Chesty, wherever you are......
