Asparagus Poking Up Already

I was spreading some mushroom soil on the garden today and noticed several asparagus tips poking through the soil. I put some dirt over them so they don't freeze but this is really early. Can't wait for some fresh asparagus!

Good luck. We are in north eastern Pa and we got dumped on with 32 inches of snow last Tuesday. Don't expect to see any green until July 4th

Yummy! Buttered asparagus with a side of bacon and a glass of cold beer.

Its going to be awhile till I get any. Those 2 weeks of warm weather were just a tease. At least most the snow melted off the garden.

Guess I ought to burn mine off. I waited to late on year and the first ones to come up were scorched on top. Lol. They were still good though.
