suggestions for garden plants

Need some help planning a new garden. I'm moving out of the place where I've been growing for the last 4 years, and my girlfriend wants to start a veggie garden at her place, thing is, she lives in town. Her yard is on the west side of her house, and doesn't get great sun. Not only does it get shade from her house in the morning, there's some trees back there also shading it.

So, what I need is some advice for vegetables that grow well in partial shade. I'm already thinking about broccoli, brussels sprouts, etc., but those aren't her favorite things to eat so I'm not going to grow much of those. Anybody have any ideas?

Grow your tomatoes and peppers in big pots. That way you can put them in the sun all day!

That's a great idea. We're gonna do that this year to open up room for watermelons again
