Mushroom ID help

These are growing where I had a big maple stump ground down. Are they edible?

many mushrooms are so close that even an "expert" cant tell by pictures. esp. ones without looking at the bottom side.
there are some good resources out there like web pages and field guides but it is still hard to be 100% sure.
check out the mushroom identification face book page.
