Dried morels at Market District, an upscale Giant Eagle outside of Pittsburgh were $219.00 a pound last I saw. Just never found enough morels that I would want to sell them.

Probably not. Unless you are typically mowing in a hardwood forest with a canopy ? You are more apt to find Morel's in your open yard (near a correct tree) than Chants. Not sayin impossible..... jest sayin.

As far a reds go... last year in Nov I was getting $40.00. then the market dropped out in Dec and it went down to $20.00. Reds this year are only going for unskinned at $15.00. Now get this coon.. for small $1.00. also extra large is all my fur buyer wants and that is only worth $5.00.
Those golden chanterelles in your yard could be the poison shroom the Jack O lantern.. Now they grow on wood. wood could be roots under ground but usually on stumps.. Golden Chanterelles grow on the forest floor. Not on wood at all. Now the Trumpe t Chanterelles they grow on wood...

Reason for the fur going down is how things are in Russia.. The economy is bad so that makes the fur market bad..I think we sell a lot of fur to China too. things are bad with them too as far how we are getting along with them. To bad fur didn't help build roads and bridges.. that's where we want to put money at. roads and bridges... You didn't get the fur... That road got you that fur...you didn't get that shroom either.. that road got you that shroom..

I was in Wegmans today.... This mushroom which is edible and found in Penns Woods was $9.99 a pound... real easy to ID too.. so watch for it in the woods.. you will find it on the ends of dead stumps... I found some nice ones up at Promised Land State Park. http://mdc.mo.gov/discover-nature/fi...gehog-mushroom
