Foragging to close to the main roads

I don't care what it is? Black Berries, Shrooms, wild leeks, garlic, wild asparagus... You should never harvest anything close to the main high ways or roads.. See Penn DOT uses chemicals in their deicers. they also spray along the roads to kill weeds. All of the forage items you pick along the road can have the cancer causing agents in them.. Your family ingest them over time and you could be creating a health risk for your family.. Go in a bit deep into the wood when you pick things for the table..
