finally some veggies

Last night I was able to pick some fresh veggies for dinner. Two yellow peppers, a few spring onions and a big bundle of Pak Choy, Add some fresh duck eggs and made some tasty fried rice.

Re: finally some veggies

Nice!

You guys in the lowlands always get an early jump on planting and harvest. I just planted 2 weeks ago when the frost danger finally left.

The horizon is your starting point.

Re: finally some veggies

Yet I'm a ways off too down here in SE PA. I must plant way too late. I'm always scared of a late frost.

Re: finally some veggies

My first planting of scallions are gone already, 2nd planting is ready. Radishes are gone too. Lots of lettuce to cut. All the plants are doing good,,tomatoes 2 ft tall but anything I planted from seed is doing lousy due to cool wet ground.

So far picking, green beans, spring onions, sweet banana peppers, and a few cherry tomatoes.

Re: finally some veggies

picked a few jalapenos and a couple sweet banana peppers so far. Lots of grape tomatoes and romas on plants, but still green. Usually start picking my tomatoes around july 4th.
