Garden's Done

All done. Picked the last mess of acorn squash. Great year, We canned over 300 jars.Tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, bread and butter and hot dill pickles, carrots,beets, hot peppers, hot peppers stuffed with kraut, hot pepper jelly,pickled cauliflower, beans, dilled green beans, and corn(didn't grow the corn, I bought it locally).Sauerkraut this weekend.

Mine is done except for bell peppers and jalopenos, and the herbs.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

I just picked seven brandywine tomatoes tonight. Might get a few more to ripen yet before frost.

just pulled the last tomatoes off. most were cracked. pulling the plants out this week if i can find time. will run them with the lawn mower and put on the compost heap for next spring's potting soil. don't forget your egg shells and coffee grounds in the compost guys
