Pleiades and the Crescent Moon

This was a tough shot last night for me guys.

To take a photo of dim stars so near an over bright moon is difficult. I threw just about all my different camera settings at this one. Over exposure was a problem.
Either the stars were too dim to even see, changed my settings and then the moon becomes overexposed..
My best happy medium without going to NASA for some camera help.

Pleiades (Seven Sister star group) and the Crescent Moon. This won't happen again until 2023.

Re: Pleiades and the Crescent Moon

cowdog,
You can get filters that will knock the brightness of the moon down while still getting the stars.
