Great Horned Owl

Great Horned Owl was found on side of the road in a stuper. Figured he flew into the side of a car chasing a skunk no less. Yes- he smelled to high heaven. Didn't figure that out until we were driving down the road after he was put in the back of an SUV in this carrier. Owls will eat skunks and have no sense of smell.... go figure. Check out the size of his talons! Hence their nickname "Flying Tigers"

Ned- "That Owl has no nose."
Ted- "How does he smell?"
Ned- "Terrible!!"

Re: Great Horned Owl

Good work helping it out. I found an immature bald eagle a few years back that was hit by a car apparently too. You'd never think an eagle would get hit by a car but it's wing was badly broken and it lay on the edge of the road. Rehabilitator said it died a week later from internal injuries.

Re: Great Horned Owl

Too bad for that Eagle. This guy is doing fine so far at the rehab center.
