northern brown snake?

I saw this snake today sunning itself on the road. It looks like a northern brown snake. It was only about 12 inches long and was not happy that I was poking it ! searched and found this site. http://www.paherps.com/herps/snakes/brown_snake here's some pics

Re: northern brown snake?

I did'nt notice the injury till after I uploaded the pics.It might have been run over .It crawled away pretty easily.Hopefully there's more in this area; Snakes are beneficial and I never kill them.
