Blizzard 2010 Pictures

Nothing artistic about these. Just thought I'd share the freight train blowing through right now. Birds are in survival mode, blowing into the windows with ice crusted around eyes and beaks. It is BRUTAL out there.

Birds at my feeders look absolutely fine.

It's a 50 gallon vinegar drum from the orchards. The snow was about 4 feet deep there from drifting. We already had 20" on the ground and who knows how much has fallen, but it's a heavy snow with high winds since last night, no breaks. Truly a spectacle out there. These were taken at noon and two hours later it's looks different out.

Tplank - Interstate 81 is shutdown from the Maryland line to Int. 80.

Jimsdad - Thanks...the rails I did myself. Fabricated from the apple trees that were on my property when I bought it. Spindled and bored, over 25 hours into it.
