Park at the bottom, walk up left side return down right side. I've started at top and bottom and I like starting at bottom - seems more scenic using that approach. Try Sat, may have rain Sun or Mon

Re: Ricketts Glenn

Get there early. You might have to wait awhile for people to leave the frame. We went a couple years ago and it was pretty busy during the day. The rain might keep people away.

I'm guessing the pictures he was taking?

Re: Ricketts Glenn

Yeah, out of the picture. The trail is right beside a few of the falls. Some people stay behind you until you take the picture and others just go by and take their time. It can be pretty tiring if your not use to climbing hills. Well worth the trek though

Re: Ricketts Glenn

Might be better after the rain.. more water coming over the falls. Early mornings not too crowded..

Re: Ricketts Glenn

Like someone said start at the bottom, I started at the top and walked to the bottom then had to walk back up to get the vehicle. I have over 100 pics of waterfalls from there, that was back in 2006.

Re: Ricketts Glenn

Have done the trail at least 100 times, being just a short distance away. There is much more to the park. You will fall in love with the place. The foresight of Colonel Ricketts to set aside the park is a great gift. After you do the falls trail, come back some day and do the Bulldozer path, no waterfalls, but fantastic scenery, but you better be in top shape for that one. There are several more, including one that goes miles and miles ending at a beautiful fish commission property. Visit the Park Office, they will give you a free map of the entire park. Post pics please !
