Monthly fieldtrips

Monthly fieldtrips…

I really liked Grousedog20’s idea about some of us getting together to take photos. I have already met up with Grousedog20, and MShartle several times to do this. I think it would be a great way to meet others on this forum and photograph things some people know a lot about that you may not even know exist. We also have some people that are really good at taking photos of specific things that could help the rest learn a few things. It may also be a way to try equipment that you are interested in that others may already have.

So… I’m putting a list together of people, places, and times of the year. Since I am from the SE part of the state that will be the area that I will focus on. I am thinking most trips would be to the eastern side of the state with some to MD & DE. If you are interested send me a PM with your name, email address, where you live, places you suggest we put on the list, and the best time to visit those places. I have already received a few responses including some from farther away that are interested.

Re: Monthly fieldtrips

You know I am interested in just tagging along for the experience...but fall is a bad time with hunting season. From January on though I would be a go, or maybe a Sunday.

Catch-and-Release wild trout.

Re: Monthly fieldtrips

Well Skeller you have all my info already.

Let me know when your ready to go shoot, I know I'm ready to get out I haven't been out for a while now. I like to hit up Bombay and Blackwater area and Conowingo but it's a little to early for those places yet. Wildwood is a ok place it's a little early for that place as well, Maybe Middle Creek.

Re: Monthly fieldtrips

I have this weekend open but that's going to be it for me for a while unless I can get away on a weekday.

I was thinking of doing another hike in Sullivan Co. Kinda depends on how much rain they get but I was thinking of the one that you and I have been talking about Steve, Sullivan Run. It's not an easy hike by any means and may not be the best for a group but it's one that I need to get off my list.

If the water looks to be too high for that spot there are a few others in the area that I wouldn't mind revisiting and Goose2duck (Jason) mentioned that he knows of a few secret falls that might be worth the trip as well.

Well... I am off on the 15th. I will probably want to get out then. Let me know, may be a Middle Creek day. Anyone who wants to join me or Mark and I is welcome to.
