Mother Nature can be cruel

Pic of doe from up at the cabin. Other then the growth she looked healthy. Had a new fawn with her.
From what I read the growths are not fatal, but the result of a scratch.. (cutaneous fibromas)

They are not normally fatal, and it doesn't hurt the meat, however when on the face the fibromas can cover the eyes and severely impair breathing which will eventually lead to the death of the animal. What they are is subcutaneous warts and I have seen some awful looking deer infected with them.
