10 days in the OBX- PICTORIAL...come along!!!

Well finally got them all uploaded..LOL…be sure to check out the fishing trip pics down in the saltwater forum too…we had a GREAT 10 days!!!!!!!
Tons of pics from the 10 day OBX trip. 3 days in Hatteras, 7 days in Rodanthe. For those of you that have been on Hatteras Island really not much has to be said. For those of you that haven’t, put yourself in the pics and ask “why??” have I not been there. My two favorite places in the world (so far anyway) are the mountains of my home state of PA, and Hatteras Island NC. The rest of the time I am just thinking about one or the other.
I’ll let the pics say their 1000 words..
Sunset over the beachhouses…walking back from the beach.

The Friday evening crowd on the beaches of Rodanthe (taken from the pier)

The day we drove a ½ mile north of Rodanthe on Pea Isalnd, pulled off at a one car parking spot and followed the trail up over the dunes….talk about beach to yourself. It was a Thursday.

HuntingPA was in the house!!!!

My buddy Dennis (4C game chaser) and his evening blue tossing metal , the next day he bought a surf rod…LOL…sorry Mrs 4c but it was bound to happen with him needing a leftie reel .. LOL

My daughter Jessica with a nice evening blue

My youngest boy Joey (8) fighting and landing a nice blue..

Some sunsets over the dunes

Took the ferry ride over to Ocracoke Island while we were staying in Hatteras right near the ferry loading dock , O village was too crowded for us to even find a place to park, so we back tracked up OI and found another dune pull off and followed the trail over….not so crowded, spent the whole day there.

One from the Ferry

Sunset in Hatteras

Joey getting ready to hit the waves

Dennis and I gearing up for an evening of fishing.

My nephew Carson casting out the surf rod he got last year…welcome to the club Carson.

Nephew Tucker and son Joey heading out…knee deep forever here.

My family in one of our favorite places.

Quiet, empty beaches in August primetime…they are where you find them.

Sunrise shot

The Mrs and I enjoying a sunrise.

Some of my favorite shots of the sunrise always include “dune grass”

Our Rodanthe House for the week…it was a nice one.

Such a great trip…I wish all my OBX brothers and vistors the safest of times as Hurricane Irene approaches the banx, God Bless , stay safe, nothing you have not survived before….see you in June 2012!!!!!

Always a great time down there, RB. One of the few beaches I've been on where I don't feel cramped. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Nice pics and it's a good thing the trip wasn't this weekend. Nice touch with the banner on the balcony. LOL
