One of my sisters said she never saw 'em either.
Saturday morning I stop to have coffee with her and brother-in-law. When I went to leave, walked onto their driveway and commented how nice their 4 Butterfly bushes were blooming. I then spotted a Hummingbird Moth on the second bush. They were delighted they had a new visitor to their yard!
Later that day, I was cutting deadheads off our Butterfly bushes and spotted a breeding pair of Hummingbird Moths (see photo on this page).
