I think they are all pretty aggressive and this guy was no exception. Kept turning and snapping and made it kind of hard to pick him up. I suppose that was the idea..lol.

I photographed one about a week ago. It was a lot smaller than this one. I had no idea how quick they are when snapping at something. I'm glad to see you have all your fingers still.

Nice Turtle, I hope you let it go. The season comes in July 1st. I can't wait to stock up on turtle meat for this winters soup. I caught these 2 a couple seasons back.

I saw a big one in the middle of a dirt road yesterday. A mexican quarry worker was behind me and he jumped out and threw it in his trunk. A little tequila and a snapper what more could you ask for?
