John Heinz

Well a few weeks ago I had a day off so I asked Mark Shartle if he wanted to go on a field trip. So we headed down to John Heniz NWR outside of Philadelphia. While I didn't get any good photos I did get a few firsts for me. So now I have more to build on.

You have to love a hen with her young...


These Barn Swallows were everywhere. We got so close to these little guys I have several full frame photos of them.


Then we got a few shots of a Baltimore Oriole but he was way too far out. But it was the first one I have captured on camera.


Finally while walking the last section of the trail we also say what I think was a Yellow Warbler. This was also another first for me.

Nice ones Steve! I didn't get any Yellow Warbler worth anything. I think the only ones I go worth that trip was the Ducks and the Oriole.

That is certainly a Yellow Warbler.

Catch-and-Release wild trout.

nice pics. at night time when getting off 420 exit all the deer are eating at the fenceline. couple of nice bucks in there. also the show wild america with marty stoufer videoed whitetail deer in there back in the 80s for there show on north american whitetails.
