I was sitting at my work computer on Tuesday, Oct. 27 when I looked up and saw two PGC trucks loaded with bird boxes drive past toward the park lands. I have been wanting to try and photograph a release of the stocked birds for a couple seasons now and couldn't resist the temptation so I leapt from my seat, grabbed the camera gear and headed out. I caught up to them at the entrance to the park where they were stopped and waiting for the WCO. The birds in the crates were vocal and that stimulated a cock bird that had been previously released to let out a few clucks in the nearby brush! The WCO arrived shortly and we all headed a short drive to the first release site. I think I did all right as things happened rather quickly. I did a little "chimping" and surmised that I had some acceptable results and expressed my gratitude and headed back to the office. Hope you enjoy!
