I got up early Sunday morning and headed to one of my favorite spots to photograph some mountain streams. I was hoping for the ideal conditions after Saturday's heavy rains, and I think I got them, in my opinion at least.
On the way to the mountains I took this shot. I was so excited about the prospect of flowing water, I didn't bother with the tripod and "rushed" this shot. In hindsight I would have been more patient with it, but I do love those colors.
The first stop was this cabin. I thought I remembered more gradient here, but the stream was pretty flat. I edited it hoping for a nostalgic, old cabin, rough woodsmen feel, but I think I got haunted cabin, axe murder, banjo playing instead...I still think it looks cool though:
