So it was way too cold to take my photography club kids outside on Wednesday, so I set up a little "experiment" in my classroom to demonstrate shutter speed for them. I thought some of you might like the results. Great perk to being a science teacher too!
They are 5th - 8th grade so I kept it simple and fun...sparklers!
You could use Christmas lights as a background to show the effects of aperture to achieve bokeh. I was experimenting with aperture as well as focus just on the lights and got some interesting results that could be used as a composite. Making the little cutouts to use on the cheap fast 50mm lens could also be very creative and fun!
