Anybody here still use a film camera?

I have a few good old film cameras but haven't used them in a long time! In the mid-80s i did my own photo printing.
Does anyone here still use film??????

Yes, I like film! I use it for black & white. Use it for low-key portrait work. Was using a large and medium format some years ago. Really would like to get a Hasselblad medium format. What do you have in film cameras?

Re: Anybody here still use a film camera?

I had a Pentax-LX,but it got stolen in 1991. I took it in for a shutter repair the place got robbed!!!!!!!! I had a stand by camera i got at Sears,a KSX Super. Thats all i have now[ for about 25 years].
I have lots of lenses and filters. I had printed my own pictures,on a small scale. It was truley fun thing to do!
I must have 5000-3x5 prints! I would send the film out and use them for test prints.

Where do you get film and have it processed? What is the cost of film and developing, now?

Yep an Olympus OM-1 with all the lens' and goodies. It's a great camera but I hate to say it Digital Cameras are sharper easier to use and if you don't like the picture delete it and take another.

I'm so far behind I think I'm in first place.

Re: Anybody here still use a film camera?

I continued shooting slide film long after most people switched to digital, but I finally caved in.

I still don't like the look of digital images as well as I like the look of Fuji Provia 100 slide film, which was my favorite, after trying about 6 different others.

Good film cameras are available at VERY reasonable prices, i.e. dirt cheap, on Ebay, Craigslist and other places.

And you can still buy slide film and get it developed.

I recommend the Fuji Provia 100 film. Be sure to use a tripod when using 100 speed film.
