Meeting other HPA members at Bennezette

Had a nice couple of days up on the saddle at Winslow Hill and enjoyed meeting and photographing with Diver Down (Steve L.)

Also ran into Fieldzy who helped me with some directions up on the Quehanna Highway! The HPA sticker on my window was all it took to know that we had something in common!

Things were really hot! Lots of bugling, chasing and fighting.

This one is named Limpy for obvious reasons. He has been around for many seasons.

Stand-off in the fog

And then the clash of antlers.

Don't know how these hugh antlered beasts get through the thick stuff let along combat each other and breed in the woods?

After the foggy morning heading back to the trucks.

Leaving the wilderness and heading towards Lock Haven.

Fall is here and hunting season near! I picked up a decoration to surprise the wife on the way home.

Stonewall, some will think i"m off given the many great shots here but that first shot to me is absolutely great.
It is not your standard postcard looking item. The viewer see's something one does not normally see....a view of the inside world of the elk.

Good job,

Griz

Thanks Griz and others! I thought it was special as well. I sort of wish the photographers in the background weren't there but it is what it is!

My thoughts exactly, still a great capture though.

A couple of really nice ones there Jeff that I didn't get. In that first pic, the guy on the right would be an easy clone and the other guy, if all you did was stamp out his face I think it would make a big difference. My shot was a little different angle but I spent a few minutes on it and got the guy's out pretty well. Looks like you were able to stop on the Hyner bridge, love that one !!
